I (Barb) went to Barbados for 5 days at the end of May-just needed to get out of town. I often stay at Butterfly Beach Hotel which is a small local owned place on the South Coast. It is safe, reliable and the price is great. This trip I decided to dive with Barbados Blue divers which is an operation adjacent to the Hilton Hotel. It is right on the edge of Carlisle Bay which is a protected marine park. The diving in the bay itself is quite nice, between about 45-18 feet. There are 5 small wrecks and lots of creatures-turtles, starfish and I even saw a brown seahorse. The water is clear and calm.  Contrast that to the ocean dives which most often are to wrecks. The days I was there the current on the surface was strong and there was some surge but you always felt safe. The Stavronikita wreck is an amazing dive. The Barbados Blue staff was friendly and attentive and they have several boats. I definitely would dive with them again  and it would be very convenient if at the Hilton.  It was a very refreshing 5 days.
